Fund Research Methodology

For each fund covered on this site we record, where available: the fund manager and fund name, CMVM registration status, minimum subscription, target sectors, target return and horizon as stated by the manager, fee structure, and eligibility for the Portuguese Golden Visa investment route.

We compile fund data from a limited set of source types:

• The CMVM (Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários) public fund register.
• The fund's prospectus and Key Investor Information Document (KIID).
• Direct written confirmation from the fund manager on facts not covered above.

Where a fact cannot be confirmed against one of these sources, it is shown as not published on the source register rather than estimated.

A fund's status (for example open, closed, or under review) and its "last verified" date are updated each time we re-check the fund against the CMVM register or receive updated confirmation from the manager. Status is not updated automatically and may lag real-world changes between verification cycles.

Verification cadence: fund entries are re-checked at least once per quarter, and additionally whenever we become aware of a change to a fund's status or Golden Visa eligibility.

Any return figure attributed to a fund is the manager's stated target, drawn from the prospectus, KIID or manager confirmation. It is not a guarantee, forecast, or recommendation from this site. Fund investments carry risk, including loss of capital, and past or targeted performance is not indicative of future results.

Our research is desk-based and relies on the accuracy of public registers and manager representations. We do not conduct independent due diligence on a fund's underlying assets, audit its financial statements, or verify its ongoing compliance beyond the checks described above.
