Which Pages Receive Legal Review
Pages that describe Portuguese immigration law, the Golden Visa (ARI) investment route, residency and citizenship timelines, or other statements of legal procedure are routed for independent legal review before publication and at each subsequent review cycle. Pages that are purely descriptive of the business, such as contact details, do not require legal review.
Who Performs the Review
Legal review is performed by an independent Portuguese lawyer who is not an employee of this site and is engaged specifically to check the accuracy of legal statements against current Portuguese legislation. Pages that have not yet completed this review state that legal verification is pending.
This site is an information and introduction service. It is not a law firm. The independent lawyer's review relates only to the accuracy of the reviewed page and does not constitute a lawyer-client relationship with any reader.
What 'Last Legally Verified' Means
Where a page displays a "last legally verified" date, it means the independent lawyer described above confirmed, as of that date, that the legal statements on the page accurately reflected the law then in force. It does not mean the page is updated in real time, and it does not mean the content applies to any individual reader's circumstances.
Review Cadence
Legally reviewed pages are scheduled for re-review at least once per quarter and additionally whenever we become aware of a relevant legislative change.
